On our way to Warburton, past the majestic Kata Tjuta.

We are very excited to be heading out to the Ngaanyatjarra Lands School again next week. TDSCF0962he school, which employs around 50 teachers and 20 or more Ngaanyatjarra staff, is a remote multi campus school comprising 9 amalgamated campuses, spread across an area about the size of Victoria. It is a 8,000km round trip for the principal to get to them all! They are Blackstone, Cosmos Newberry, Jameson, Kiwirrkurra, Tjirrkarli, Tjukurla, Wanarn, Warakurna, Warburton and Wingellina. We will be visiting some of these campuses. The 350 students, ranging from Kindergarten through to Year 12, frequently move with their families between campuses. Most of the students speak either Ngaanyatjarra, Pintupi or Pitjantjatjara at home. We’ll blog news of our days as we travel!
