HAR author Margaret to speak at QUT’s Oodgeroo Seminar Series on April 23rd

Margaret was delighted to accept an invitation from  Queensland University of Technology’s  Oodgeroo Unit to present in their innovative Oodgeroo Seminar Series on Thursday, April 23 2013.  The Oodgeroo Seminar series is a forum to showcase exemplary work by leading academics and scholars in the field of Indigenous studies,  hosting influential presenters  such as Mai Katona, Garrick Wayne Cooper (Aotahi School of Maori and Indigenous Studies), Leonie Cox (PHd School of Nursing and Midwifery) in the past.

It will be a great opportunity share the rationale, development and progress of the HAR program and our latest translations into 6 languages.  We were encouraged by the supportive comment on our facebook post by Sandy Robertson, Curriculum Coordinator at Ngaanyatjarra Lands School who said, “Excellent work, Margaret. It’s a privilege to benefit from your hard work and have your books available for the kids in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. Keep going!”

All are welcome to attend, just RSVP to information.oodgeroo@qut.edu.au and we look forward to seeing you there!
