Discussing scaffolding in the HARs with Dr Zane Ma Rhea

Margaret had a very stimulating meeting with Dr Zane Ma Rhea, a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Monash University last night. She discussed the importance of scaffolding learners from ‘home language’ into SAE as the HARs do. The other aspect of HARs which they discussed was the unique manner in which learners can ‘exit’ the ‘language of the playgound’ edition of HARs once their SAE is becoming stronger, to move across into the SAE edition at any time from HAR 11.
