Dr Rigoberta Menchu from Guatemala

HARs Margaret James was honoured to meet Nobel Peace prize winner, 1992, UNESCO goodwill ambassador and well known activist, Dr Rigoberta Menchu, from Guatemala. Her ideas and stories are inspirational – including her views on diversity and multiculturalism and her explanations about Mayan ancestral wisdom and education. Working on a coffee plantation as a child, there was no time for formal schooling.
