Fun with AUSLAN signing

What a great new experience it was working with an AUSLAN signer at Kuraby Special School. We learnt to read a ‘Honey Ant Reader’ book, without showing the pictures until AFTER the translator had finished her signing. We shared a story on the interactive whiteboard, while this talented lady translated for the children with hearing difficulties. With HAR musician, Rosemary Butler, we had great fun singing too.

    Hello again!!!!!!!!!!
What a wonderful surprise to see that AUSLAN is used for Honey Ants! Well I have finally graduated and got my first two weeks contract in a childcare center. I was just looking for AUSLAN animal signs for Monday, as I wanted to teach my preschool class all about insects. I have a deaf student in my class and have started AUSLAN since Semester 1/2015 at TafeSA. Well I guess you can image as a fan of honey ants how happy you have made me with my first click to see the site I am on. https://honeyant.com.au/fun-with-auslan-signing/ Please could you add me to your mailing list I did not know any of this news at all. So very happy to see you here. All the best to all the staff, would love to meet you all one day. God bless. Martina Riding, Charles Darwin Student 2014
