Thanks Rosemary!

Thank you to Rosemary Porter, a young mother and knowledgeable language worker, who has always lived in Tjukurla. Under the guidance of her Auntie, Lizzie Ellis, Rosemary enthusiastically assisted with translating our HAR books, ‘Nana Dig’, ‘Nana Digs in Red Sand’ and ‘Big Mob Ants’ into Ngaanyatjarra. Yesterday Tim recorded Rosemary reading the first 2 books, which she did brilliantly. This is an invaluable resource for the children and future generations in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands – and in all of Australia – as it preserves some of this ancient, living language in oral and written form.
