The Fred Hollows Foundation
“From the perspective of the Foundation – HAR ticks several significant boxes. The Foundation works with remote communities and aims to build capacity.
It is important that the basic recognition of the differences which exists for Indigenous people who speak a different language and who are learning to speak English as their second, third or fourth language is there.
HAR starts with children in their own language formats – which is what we (mainstream) offer all children in the early years of language learning and development.”
